Nourishing the earth, innovating the future
For over 50 years, we have been producing and marketing organic, organo-mineral, and specialty fertilizers for a more sustainable and responsible agriculture, designed for the present and future of farming.
Our roots: from nature, an idea that grows
Fomet was founded in the late 1960s in the province of Verona, from a simple yet ambitious idea: to apply natural processes to the industrial world, without forcing them, respecting their timing and agronomic value. From the beginning, the company chose to work with selected organic matrices, transforming them into fertilizers capable of nourishing crops and, above all, improving soil fertility over time.
Fomet’s growth has been steady and guided by a clear vision. New facilities, production expansions, increasingly advanced technologies, and continuous attention to environmental impact have accompanied every phase of the journey. Innovation has never been an end in itself, but rather a tool to make processes more controlled, safe, and efficient.

A vision born in the 1960s that combines nature, technology, and continuous growth.
A new packaging plant for big bags of 400, 500, 600, 800, and 1,000 kg is installed.
A new wastewater treatment plant is installed.
New manure processing methodology according to EC Regulation 1774/02.
An automatic tubular packaging machine and a new pallet protection system against rain and wind are installed.
A 5,000 m² warehouse is built. A palletizing robot for packaging is installed. A laboratory for product and raw material analysis is established.
A second pallet-forming robot and a new automatic reel packaging machine are installed.

UNI/PDR 125:2022 certification – Gender equality management system – is obtained.
Installation is underway for the new urea and ammonium sulfate inhibition plant and the new hydrolysis plant. Work has begun on the construction of the new guest house.
The Fomet approach
At the heart of everything is the Fomet method: a process that begins with the controlled collection of selected organic matrices and continues with long processing and humification cycles in closed and monitored environments. Every phase is strictly followed, analyzing fundamental parameters such as humidity, temperature, pH, organic carbon, bacterial load, and macro and microelement content. This approach allows for the development of precise formulations designed to meet the most complex needs of modern agriculture.
Over time, this vision has evolved, integrating new organic matrices, expanding product lines, and investing in research and experimentation. The internal laboratory, the Center for Plant Nutrition, and the Fomet Research Center now represent the core of a work that combines scientific knowledge and field experience.
