Fomet launches three new specialty products

Fomet, which has always been committed to researching new plant nutrition solutions, is launching three new products suitable for organic farming that expand its range of specialty fertilizers: Vigoramin® Root, Vigoramin® Beta, and Vigoramin® Evo. These new references were developed by Fomet’s CFPN¹ with the aim of offering modern farmers effective and efficient solutions to better face the challenges posed by climate change—which is increasingly impacting production quality and quantity—and by legislation, where authorities are increasingly demanding the use of products that are safe for both humans and the environment. Fomet’s CFPN pays great attention to the development of formulations, from the verification and analysis of raw materials to dozens of rigorous agronomic tests on final formulations, to evaluate their field effectiveness and reliability as well as their environmental sustainability.

Let’s look at the unique characteristics of the new Vigoramin® products in detail:

Vigoramin® Root was created to stimulate root development, reduce transplant stress, and promote the absorption and release of nutrients present in the soil. Its unique formulation combines five active components: yeast extract, amino acids and polypeptides from enzymatic hydrolysis, humic acids, and extracts of Ascophyllum nodosum and Ecklonia maxima, which work in synergy to make Vigoramin® Root the ideal product for the early development stages of both vegetable and fruit crops.

Vigoramin® Beta is a specific product designed to reduce damage caused by abiotic stress, particularly thermal, water, and saline stress. The unique formulation utilizes three active components: plant extracts (providing sugars, coumaric acid, and ferulic acid, a powerful antioxidant), amino acids from enzymatic hydrolysis, and glycine betaine; the product contains 14% of the latter molecule, which is well known for being an excellent osmoprotectant.

Vigoramin® Evo is a formulation for foliar use whose particular amino acid profile—rich in alanine, glycine, and proline—and high percentage of free amino acids (15% of the total) help the plant absorb and utilize the nutrients present in the solution, while also increasing its metabolic rate, thereby maximizing nutritional efficiency.
